Our fast growing internet consulting business needs a confident Senior Account Manager, based in our offices in leafy Eltham.
If you’re the person we’re looking for, you’ll relish this role that requires you to draw on all of your communication skills. You’ll have a couple of years experience in a similar account management role that has helped you hone your skills for this role. You might have worked in an advertising agency or another media organisation; radio, TV, outdoor, web, print or online display. Alternatively your background might include working as a marketing assistant or even in a call centre providing exceptional customer service. Whatever your experience, you will be supremely confident and have a high level of familiarity with the web. You may be familiar with pay-per-click and/or SEO, but you will be active on social media. It would be advantageous if you held a university degree in a business or communications stream.
The person we’re looking for will pack lots into their life! You’ll have a unique ability to multi-task and deal with the demands of multiple clients at any one time. You will have a sound business mind and be able to grasp different business models and use this information to assist your clients. Your analytical skills will also be well honed and you will be able to crunch data to arrive at the key numbers to focus upon – this will allow you to prepare your case in advance of the regular client meetings you will hold and present to clients in a confident manner.
To be successful at this role, you will need to clearly set the expectations of the clients you work with and then manage their expectations on an ongoing basis. This will require you to call on your problem solving and persuasive skills. You’ll also need to have great verbal and written skills, being able to clearly articulate an idea over the phone and then follow it up with a well crafted email.
This is a genuine account management role – it does not involve new sales. It does however; offer the opportunity for you to earn additional income through commissions generated by on-selling additional company services to your client base. While a solid understanding and interest in the internet is required, you will receive thorough training in the specific internet consulting areas that you will be involved in.
On a day-to-day basis your position will include the following major roles:
–Analysing data and preparing written reports for clients
–Developing and communicating annual and quarterly plans to clients
–Conducting regular strategy meetings with clients
–Liaising with the internal product specialists, to determine the appropriate strategy for each client
–Ensuring clients implement each of the strategies in a timely manner and achieve the desired results
