In July 2007, Optus launched Australia’s first Home Phone and Broadband Cap bundle – Optus Fusion. Now, with the capacity of their network increasing, Optus is launching an ambitious new integrated campaign for Optus Wireless 'yes' Fusion, aiming to let people know that their coverage has increased and that their services are available in more areas.
The marketing for the campaign will be done through television, print and online advertising, along with a micro site and prominent outdoor advertising. High impact online digital banner ads including over the page banners will drive audiences to a micro site, www.optusfusion.com where they’ll receive all the information they need to know.
A national outdoor campaign will also be launched with Metrolites, Bus Shelter Wraps and Mobilites being used to immerse the consumer in the advertisements.
The campaign will promote the Optus Wireless ‘yes’ Fusion plan, which includes a whole host of features and plans to appeal to consumers. The new campaign features the return of the raccoons and elephant used in previous campaign TVCs, with the commercial showing the animals up to their usual hi-jinks, ‘staking out’ a neighbourhood and sending out ‘O-waves’ of light, symbolising the network's increased coverage.
Optus Fusion fine print indicates that internet usage over quota is charged at 15c per Mb for next 2000Mb which represents an unkind $300 (!!) on your next bill ..
NASTY !!!
