Thanks for that interview, a really good view from Fairfax's perspective. I still see a large variance between what they say they are trying to do and what is actually happening regarding what they are offering the online/offline audience.

But he doesn't explain why does Fairfax follow News Corp in not making it easy to share stories through social media or engage readers with comments?

While the network factor can work, how does Fairfax work with external advertisers when they are competing with their network of websites? It sounds like Fairfax knows what they need to do, but are not moving quick enough to stay ahead of the niche websites.
