Companies seem to ignore the single largest online branding/advertising venue available: their own regular external emails. Why not use these emails to market the senders company?

You have a website.
You send emails.

Why not multiply your sales-staff by “wrapping” the regular email in an interactive letterhead?

No other marketing or advertising medium is as targeted as an email between people that know each other (as opposed to mass emails). These emails are always read and typically kept.

Hey rolv, I agree with you that it's a highly personal and powerful communication tool, and our agency uses it to promote recent news. However, we do it through basic text below the signature, we've experimented with various kinds of formating, and the simpler the better, i.e. text only.

Its amazing how many people I catch up with and they refer to news that was in our email signatures from months ago - very powerful.
