Publishing veteran Furst Media has appointed a new general manager to assist their ongoing expansion as a fully integrated marketing, publishing and communications agency.

Rohan Dwyer, former sales director for Nova & Vega radio’s Melbourne-based sales operation, has taken the role after 10-years experience in the radio advertising arena which includes time with radio consortium, Austereo.

Of his new appointment Dwyer said, “I am very excited with the prospect of working for an organisation with such an entrepreneurial approach to delivering on client needs, backed up with a tremendous suite of products and services.”

While the company is known best for its long-standing street press publications such Melbourne music bible Beat Magazine, Furst Media won the communications business for automotive giant Autobarn in August last year which includes the retailer’s complete advertising portfolio.

Among other clients, the company also provides marketing, advertising and PR services to international footwear companies K-Swiss and Royal Elastics.

Furst Media founder and Director Rob Furst said, “Rohan will bring valuable media advertising knowledge to our team and clients, strengthening our experience in media negotiation, buying, and placement.”
