The Australasian Sponsorship Marketing Association has voted to rebrand itself under a new name – Sponsorship Australasia – and logo, approved by the 2009 national executive board.

Board members agreed that the new name would enable better recognition while encapsulating the role of the association, to strengthen and advance the sponsorship industry in the Australasian marketing landscape.

“This look represents a new start to our association. Our role is tougher than ever right now and we have made some significant changes not only to the name and logo, but also to the board members and our support team,” comments Philip Whittaker, president of Sponsorship Australasia.

Sponsorship Australasia is in the process of revamping its website, which will be rolled-out in the near future.

“A good structural and financial platform has been established and we are now poised to build the profile of the association, grow membership and become a major voice for the industry,” adds Whittaker.
