Business telecommunications provider Comscentre has appointed Blair Burchill as group marketing manager.

He is based at Comscentre’s Brisbane headquarters and is responsible for brand development, customer relationship management, public relations, strategic and tactical advertising, events, conferences and new product development.

Mr Burchill has an extensive background in advertising and communications in industries including pharmaceuticals, property, aviation and fast food. He most recently worked in commercial property sales in Brisbane and prior to that, spent 14 years in advertising agencies in Brisbane and London working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands.

Previous roles have included group account director on Virgin Blue and Stockland residential developments at Cummins and Partners (now Sapient Nitro) in Brisbane, as well as senior account management roles at Junior in Brisbane, and Ogilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG, St Luke’s Communications and Abbot Mead Vickers in London.

His other brand experience includes Panadol, BP, Lucozade, KFC, BSkyB and Sainsbury’s.

Mr Burchill has a Bachelor of Business Management from the Queensland University of Technology.

Comscentre specialises in providing amalgamated voice, data and internet services backed by a complete support and maintenance package. It has offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and is involved in the trial delivery of super-fast broadband services over the National Broadband Network (NBN).
