Brisbane creatives call on corporate and commercial leaders to support Lifeline Giving Day

Lifeline Queensland has been experiencing an unprecedented demand for its Crisis Support Centre. On 25 November 2021, a collective of Brisbane creatives are doing their bit.

BCM Group, Israel Rivera and Rosco Audio have been working hard to rally vital funds for the Crisis Support service. Developing and deploying assets, the 12-hour fundraiser is calling on networks to dig deep. With calls up by 20 percent in recent months, Lifeline Queensland is in need of support.

“We’re calling on commercial partners, CFOs, CMOs and CEOs to support as much as you can,” says managing director of BCM Group, Phil McDonald.

“Lifeline is an organisation that we tend to take for granted. They’ve always ‘been there’ – listed at the bottom of every tough news article. They’re a support service for those who might be struggling,” McDonald continues.

Lifeline Queensland depends on donations to operate. The pressure on it to continue is more than it’s ever been. Lifeline Queensland takes calls from people who are suffering a diverse range of problems. From stress, natural disaster through to domestic violence and suicide, it has become an integral part of helping and healing.

Donations made during the 12-hour fundraiser will be matched dollar for dollar by generous partners,  funding critical resources for Lifeline, including training for more Crisis Support workers to meet the  alarmingly high demand for mental health and crisis calls. Australians can help make sure more crisis calls are answered by calling 1800 961 881 or visiting www.lifelineqld.org.au.
