Infographic: How Australians made online gift purchases this Christmas
Over the silly season 78% of shoppers where satisfied with their online gift purchasing experience, while 54% treated themselves to a gift while shopping online.
A study by the website Credit Card Selector took a look at the online shopping behaviour of Aussies, finding that savings was a big driver of shopping for gifts on line with 74% of respondents stating that shopping online saved them money.
Social channels were also found to be increasingly influential on shopping purchases, with 41% using social media to research gift ideas and 37% directly asking friends and family for gift ideas via social channels. However, search engines, website visits and emails from websites are still the most common ways people find online stores.
