Nicola Lewis becomes News Digital Media national sales director

News Digital Media’s commercial director, Tony Prentice, today announced that current NSW sales manager Nicola Lewis has been appointed national sales director.

As national sales director, Ms Lewis reports to Mr Prentice and is responsible for display advertising revenue across News Digital Media’s portfolio, which includes the websites of News Limited’s national, metro and regional newspapers as well as:

Mr Prentice said “Nicola has proven herself to be an outstanding and hands on leader of our NSW sales team. Her first class relationships in market and with our sites will ensure the ongoing success of the NDM sales team.”

Ms Lewis said “I am delighted to be leading the sales team into what is undoubtedly going to be an exciting period as the NDM portfolio continues to grow both organically and through targeted acquisition.

“The recent inclusion of brands such as Body+Soul, AskMen and IGN into the NDM network, will ensure that we continue to deliver ongoing innovation to engaged audiences, through quality content, across multiple devices.”

Ms Lewis began her career at Conde Nast (UK) in 1997, initially in research and marketing before moving into sales. She joined News International’s sales team in 1999 working across the two largest circulating newspapers in the country – The Sun and News of the World.

After emigrating to Australia in 2002 she joined Fairfax Media, helping launch the(sydney)magazine and theage(melbourne)magazine. After a period working as national advertising manager she was appointed group sales manager of Herald Publications.

In July 2009 Ms Lewis joined News Digital Media as group sales manager, being promoted to NSW sales manager in July 2010.

Ms Lewis succeeds Danny Bass who joined Group M in late 2010.
