Ninemsn joins the iPhone content optimisation race

Share

iPhone users can now access optimised ninemsn content, dubbed
ninemsn for iPhone, allowing them to access digital product such as
National Nine News, Wide World of Sports, Windows Live Messenger,
Windows Live Hotmail and Live Search at the touch of their fingertips.

Dean Capobianco, head of mobile for ninemsn, said “We’ve taken some
of our most popular content and delivered it in a way that makes sense
for people with the iPhone. This isn’t a web page on a mobile – it’s a
mobile portal developed with the mobile experience in mind”.

“It was obvious from this morning’s launch, where people queued for
hours, that there is definitely interest from Australians in this
product. With the launch of the iPhone today we have a device that has
content at its heart and with ninemsn for iPhone our audience has a
specialist mobile portal which can deliver some of the most popular
content on the web.”
Ninemsn aren’t the only ones to launch products
tailored towards the iPhone; News Limited’s NEWS.com.au also recently
launched a version of its website optimised for the iPhone, including
the True Local and music-lovers site, Moshtix functions. Many others
are expected to follow suit.
