Gelatissimo is encouraging dog owners to share a Lady and the Tramp-style treat with their four-legged friend this month. In a campaign sure to get both tongues and tails wagging, the Australian gelato chain has released a dog-friendly gelato flavour fittingly called Pawesome Peanut Butter.

According to Gelatissimo CEO Filipe Barbosa the company wanted to cater to the special bond dog-owners share with their pets.

“It’s really important to us that we’re always catering to the whole family, and we all know that the family dog is just as much a part of that as anyone.

“We did a lot of research to make sure that this flavour is 100% dog and human approved so our customers can share a bit of fun and deliciousness with everyone – even their furry family members.”

Gelatissimo is supporting the release of the limited edition flavour with a dog-friendly brunch event at Bodhi at Cook and Philip Park in Sydney’s CBD on 18 May. Yum cha and freshly made vegan dog treats will serve as an entre to a dessert of Pawesome Peanut Butter gelato. There will also be best-dressed prizes, photo opportunities and cute puppies to play with.

Using publicly available pet data, Puppo was able to identify the breed and name of every dog within New York’s city limits and design a bespoke poster for each and every one, complete with advice on how switching to a Puppo diet could address breed-specific ailments.
