Sweden’s official tourism board has listed the entire nation on Airbnb.

Visit Sweden, the official tourism board of the country, has partnered with Airbnb in a tourism campaign which sees the entire nation listed on the accommodation platform.

An online video ad for the campaign introduces viewers to the nation’s right to roam act, which allows people full access to walk, cycle and camp on the nation’s public land for free.

The partnership is a first of a kind for Airbnb, which has been building relationships with big business and governments the world over, including one with Qantas in 2016 and with Ikea in 2015.

“This partnership is a first of its kind collaboration between a tourism board and Airbnb,” says James McClure, general manager Northern Europe at Airbnb.

“It is designed to promote Sweden as a destination through the power of the Airbnb community which is perfectly placed to showcase the many extraordinary locations to stay throughout the country,” he says.

Free listings on the partnership’s dedicated site include Rocky Island in the Stockholm Archipelago and a classic lookout point in Lappland.
