Three quarters of Australians switch to digital

Three in four Australian households have adopted digital television, according to figures released by the Federal Government’s Digital Switchover Taskforce.
A total of 74% of Australian households have made the switch to digital television, a 6% increase over the previous quarters figures. Melbourne and Sydney witnessed the highest growth – 10% and 13% respectively.
Since the first quarterly report published by the Digital Switchover Taskforce in early 2009, the conversion to digital television has risen by 26%.
