Mitchell Communication Group announced today the appointment of Vas Katos as General Manager of its Public Relations firm, Spark Communications.
 
Bringing to the role a breadth of experience spanning 16 years, Vas is a seasoned executive working in Strategic Marketing and Public Relations. Katos comes to Spark after heading up Marketing and PR agency, Mollison Communications, where he managed clients including; Tennis Australia, Cirque du Soleil, BMW Group Australia and the Arts Centre.
 
Prior to Mollison Communications, Vas worked on brands including; Village Roadshow, NAB, Spring Racing Carnival and Motorola. He also worked for a stint in New York with Sony Music Entertainment.

He replaces founding partner, Richard Chapman, who has moved to the role of Business Development Director for the entire Mitchell Communication Group.
 
Spark Communications is celebrating 13 years in public relations, currently working with a growing number of consumer and lifestyle clients including; the Formula 1 QANTAS Australian Grand Prix, the IVECO Australian MotoGP, the Australian Shakespeare Company, Independent Distiller Vodka Cruiser, Heinz, Golden Circle, The Good Guys, Noodle Box and the Australian Film Institute.
