Wagamama introduces mobile ordering app

Share

Wagamama noodle bar chain has announced that it will become the first of its kind in Australia to offer an interactive online ordering system designed specifically for mobile and online.

Capitalising on the concept of ‘fast food’, wagamama mobile takeout will allow customers to order dishes direct from their iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia or PDA.

The new service, allows users to find their closest wagamama restaurant, select and tailor their meal, request a pickup time of their choice and pay via credit card or prepaid account. Users can also choose to add or remove certain ingredients via the app.

The chain indicates its ‘noodlers’ can set up an online account that keeps a record of their favourite meals and preferences when tailoring orders.

The account remembers payment details and users can add credit via the mobo2go system so they can set aside a weekly or monthly spend without entering their credit card details.

The same service will also be available online.

“Just because customers are opting for takeout, their overall experience should still be the same as if they were dining in our noodle bars. Our seamless new mobile ordering service, will ensure we’re meeting the demands of time-poor Aussies without
compromising on service and we’re very excited to be the first restaurant chain in Australia to be able to offer this,” explained chief executive ‘noodle’ of wagamama Australia, Mark Rowland.
