Fairfax Magazines relaunch Sunday Life

On June 28th, Fairfax will relaunch Sunday Life, a lift-out magazine distributed in The Sun-Herald and the Sunday Age.
The relaunch strategy includes a new design, larger format and a fresh editorial direction aimed at intelligent women. Featuring in-depth coverage of issues that impact on busy women’s lives, the magazine will also cover relationships and wellbeing.
To add personality and give a face to the lift-out, high-profile columnist Mia Freedman and TV host Sarah Wilson will be regulars.
Acting editor of Sunday Life, Michelle Hurley, said:
“We will continue to showcase Sunday’s best lifestyle columnists – Food Editor Karen Martini and Fashion Editor Thelma McQuillan – but we will be adding more. There will be a restaurant review, a quick midweek recipe column, and a shopping page plus the week’s best sales. And because we know our readers have a keen interest in their mind, body and spirit, we are introducing a comprehensive health and wellbeing section packed full of practical advice on everything from fitness and nutrition to relationships.”
It would seem Fairfax is taking an active strategy in the GFC, relaunching old mastheads in new incarnations.
