Does your heart race each time Chanel unveils a new window-front display? Perhaps you feel only your favourite sass & bide shop assistant understands your obsession with finding the perfect cardigan?

Whatever your passion for fashion is, make it known!

GRAZIA magazine has kick-started their online voting competition in search of Australia’s best shopping destinations. More than 4500 nominations were sent in for the inaugural GRAZIA Shopping Awards 2011 and now its time to repay retailers for those unforgettable shopping memories.

Voters can log onto www.grazia.ninemsn.com.au/shopping-awards and cast their votes across 11 different categories ranging from best customer service to favourite shopping precinct. And of course, no local shopping award would be complete without showing our love for our favourite Australian designers.

An interesting category included is Favourite Online site, where one-stop sites like Ebay and www.frockshop.com will compete against smaller independent labels such as Lover at www.loverthelabel.com.

“Online shopping is such a growing market and we simply cannot overlook the fact that Australians love it. We want to encourage Australians to go back to shopping, and even if it’s doing it digitally, it still makes a difference,” Ann Billington, national group development manager at ACP Magazines tells Marketing magazine

Jane Davies, GRAZIA’s acting editor says: “With the growth of international luxury and high-street brands in Australia, retailers need to step up their game to appeal to an ever-more-discerning shopper. They also deserve recognition for providing quality products and great customer service.”

Public voting closes on April 22 and finalists and winners will be announced and profiled on May 16. One voter will be rewarded with a holiday to Port Douglas, while other prizes include designer watches and beauty packs.
