Microsoft and Telstra have announced the availability of Microsoft Online Services on the T-Suite platform.

Microsoft Online Services is cloud computing business communication and collaboration software. The services will be provided through Telstra’s NextG and NextIP networks for a subscription fee and will be the primary provider of Microsoft Online Services within Austalia, excepting Microsoft Office Live Meeting.

“As well as being simpler to deploy and maintain, Microsoft Online Services can also be easily scaled to fit changing organisational requirements and provide subscription licensing options to match cash flow management needs,” said Kevin Brough, communications sector director, Microsoft Australia.

The announcement deepens the partnership the two companies began fostering last year.

Microsoft Online Services includes the following:

  • Exchange Online: a hosted, secure enterprise messaging service with anywhere access,
  • SharePoint Online: a secure central location for employee collaboration, organisation resources and workflow and content management,
  • Office Communications Online: a hosted instant messaging service, allowing employees to work in teams and share intellectual property, and
  • Office Live Meeting: a hosted Web conferencing service.
