Network Ten is the latest TV network to announce the launch of a new digital channel.

Eleven is targeted at the youth market through a mix of international TV programming – with new episodes of Futurama, The Cleveland Show, Supernatural, Dexter and The Office scheduled. It also hopes to become the exclusive home of The Simpsons.

Network Ten’s programming arrangement with CBS, will extend to Eleven, as CBS produces content for the youth-targeted market with programmes such as NCIS, Rules of Engagement and Medium.

“Importantly, the joint venture will ensure long term continuity of this prolific US content pipeline, underpinning the sustainability of Eleven and also delivering continued supply of high quality international programming for Ten,” said Grant Blackley, CEO of Network Ten.

Eleven will broadcast in early 2011 on standard definition (SD) digital transmission on channel 11
