The Melbourne newspaper wars are back in full swing, with the Herald Sun launching a $2 million ad campaign, following up on the Saturday Age’s recent big campaign.
The Herald Sun campaign begins today and will cross print, television, outdoor and point of sale. The marketing drive will use the tagline ‘stories start here’, but the first TVC screening tonight will focus on the popular SuperCoach fantasy AFL game.
“Every one of our advertisements starts with the line ‘there’s a story in everything’,” Herald and Weekly Times marketing director, Monica Kent-Giles says. “Our goal as a brand is to be inquisitive, start discussion, debate and action.”
