Apples iPad gets the iStole treatment

Despite the much-anticipated launch of Apple’s iPad whetting the appetite of fanbois around the world, Fujitsu has accused the brand of name theft.
According to the electronics manufacturer it first produced a product called the iPad in 2002, which runs on a Microsoft operating system with an Intel processor.
But that’s not all.
Siemens has also used ‘iPad’ for a number of its engines and motors, while a Canadian lingerie company, Coconut Grove Pads, owns the rights for iPad padded bras.
But Apple is no stranger to product naming disputes. In 2007 the company faced a dispute with Cisco Systems with the name iPhone, as Cisco held the trademark for the name since 2000.
