Natalie Dinsdale, former executive at UBank, has joined Tyro as its new head of brand and marketing.

EFTPOS and banking service provider Tyro Payments has announced the appointment of Natalie Dinsdale as the company’s new head of brand and marketing.

Dinsdale has more than 17 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and marketer across Australian and UK financial services companies including Virgin Money, Bankwest, EGG UK and of course UBank.

Recent appointments at Tyro also include that of CEO Gerd Schenkel in October and head of product Kareem Al-Bassam in January.

“Tyro is at an exciting phase of its growth and Natalie’s appointment is the latest example of how we are attracting some of the most talented professionals in Australia to our team,” says Schenkel.

“Natalie has deep experience delivering integrating marketing strategies and business growth.”

Dinsdale was part of the team which launched UBank, Australia’s first home-grown digital deposit and mortgage bank, which now has about $20 billion in customer balances.

Established in the early 2000s, Tyro now serves more than 17,000 small businesses and has processed $8.6 billion in transactions. It generated more than $95 million in revenue in 2015-’16 financial year.

“Tyro is one of Australia’s most remarkable growth stories, and the opportunity to be a part of an organisation dedicated solely to giving SMEs a better deal is incredibly exciting,” says Dinsdale.
