AIMIA members big win at World Summit Awards

Three Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) members have faced-off against more than 20,000 entries from 157 countries to win at prestigious World Summit Awards (WSA) for best e-Content.
Each AIMIA member was a finalist in the recent 15th Annual AIMIA Awards.
Australia equally took out the highest number of awards, winning the categories of e-Business & Commerce (‘Karma Currency by Spin Communications’), e-Culture & Heritage (‘12 Canoes by Wanted Digital’) and e-Health & Environment (‘Tree People by Lowe Sydney’).
This was the fourth World Summit Awards, which operate within the framework of the United Nations World Summit on Information Society and is a not-for-profit event.
It is aimed at strengthen entrepreneurship within content industries and to bring about economic and cultural development through the creative use of ICT.
“These three amazing projects provide a strong showcase of the digital media and interactive content talent here in Australia,” says AIMIA president, Guy Gadney.
