MySpace Music has become Australia’s most popular music site.
Research conducted by Nielsen revealed the site attracted 2.38 million unique hits in December. Juxtaposed with its nearest competitor in the category, it attracts over eight times the average daily unique browsers.
“The immediate impact of MySpace Music emphasises the demand for content driven social media within the 13-30 age bracket. As the trend for brands to align with music continues to gain momentum, MySpace Music is offering unique opportunities for advertisers to develop strategies around the interests of their target audiences,” said Andrew Cordwell, national sales director – Australia New Zealand.
Launched in October 2009, the site provides access to a catalogue of streaming music from a variety of labels.
