The winners of the Promo, PR and Direct categories have been announced in the first of four awards ceremonies at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

Australian agency CumminsNitro Brisbane took out two Grand Prix awards for PR and Direct, both for the ‘Best Job in the World’ campaign.

The Direct category received 1364 entries and of those 180 were shortlisted. In its first year, the PR category received 431 entries, with only 37 of those shortlisted.

Despite CumminsNitro taking the Direct Grand Prix, Direct Agency of the Year was won by Shackleton, Madrid.

The Promo Grand Prix was taken by Beacon Communications Tokyo, for its promotion of Yubari Resort.
