Aldi number 1 for satisfied shoppers

A new survey from Roy Morgan research has shown Aldi has the highest customer satisfaction of all major Australian supermarkets.
Roy Morgan surveyed over 7000 shoppers last year who nominated a supermarket they regularly shop at and gauged their own shopping satisfaction. Aldi chalked up an impressive 92% customer satisfaction level, followed by IGA with 89%, with the big two, Woolworths and Coles locked at 87%.
Overall they are impressive results, but Roy Morgan Research industry communications director Norman Morris warns it may not last.
“There will no doubt be a long term effect on the availability and price of fresh produce at supermarkets, as well as the short term impact on grocery supply and demand in some areas due to the floods,” he says. “Satisfaction in supermarket fresh categories such as fresh fruit and veg, or overall satisfaction may also drop as a result.”
