NEC Australia has revealed the creation of a new marketing division aimed at strengthening its brand and stature in the Australian ICT Market.
The move will see NEC bring its marketing functions under the umbrella of a new single division.
Craig Norton has been appointed as general manager of marketing to head up the division. He was general manager of operations for Vodafone Australia while jointly a director of Vodafone Fiji. His marketing experience in IT, telecommunications and ICT spans two decades.
“NEC has some great opportunities in the Australian market. This support and commitment by the company’s senior management will enable NEC to match its outstanding product and service offerings with a suitably focused marketing effort to build upon NEC’s strong global brand,” says Norton.
Wataru Takeuchi, NEC’s Australian managing director, believes the company’s corporate strength, products and services have long been recognised around the world, so this step is a logical one.
“Here in Australia we have identified the need to strengthen our marketing efforts in order to better engage with, and support our customers. Craig brings with him a wealth of marketing experience and a great track record of delivering strong results,” says Takeuchi.
