Innovative Twitter execution for QUT
Share
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has launched a real-time Twitter aggregator of Australia’s Top 100 most followed PR professionals.
The aggregator was built and designed by BCM for QUT to promote their Masters of Business (Public Relations). The medium is the message in this campaign, as the course is delivered online.
According to the aggregator, titled Tweepr, the Top 10 PR professionals are:
- @teri_sawers
- @sarallenconsult
- @maxmarkson
- @trevoryoung (also a MarketingMag.com.au Guru Blogger)
- @KellyNoble
- @CITYPUBLICITY
- @JohannaBD
- @ScottRhodie
- @LMStellaPR
- @MarissaTree
“This content should be very well received by motivated industry types and these are exactly the people QUT is looking to attract to the Masters degree,” said agency partner, Kevin Moreland.
“We have seized the opportunity to create something of genuine value here – a custom created site which is already getting traction and being actively shared and discussed within the PR community. Moreover, the nature of this curated content should demonstrate value well beyond the four to six week campaign cycle using more traditional media.”
Tweepr states their top 100 list is calculated based on users number of followers, updates and recency of their tweets.
