Digital Radio sales and listeners rise

Q2 saw an increase in digital radio unit sales.

GFK Marketscope reports 71,233 units sold during Q2, up 17,237 from Q1 in which 53,996 were sold. This takes the total units nationally to 508,462, according to Commercial Radio Australia (CRA), this means 940,000 Australians in the major metroplitan markets – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide – are capable of listening to digital radio.

The CRA have released another series of ads to promote the technology focussed on Father’s Day. The campaign will be supported by digital, POS and social media executions.
