ACM took home the cup from the first ever UnLtd Open golf tournament, raising $90,000 to go to helping children and young people at risk.

UnLtd, the marketing and media industry’s social purpose organisation, held its inaugural UnLtd Open golf tournament yesterday. ACM took the top spot on the course, with GumGum following at second.

The tournament saw 25 teams step onto the St Michael’s golf course fairway, including representatives from ACM, Astus, AthletesVoice, Foxtel Media, GroupM, oOh! Media, Nine, REA Group and Universal Music.

“We are so proud to be taking home the inaugural trophy, especially amongst such stiff competition!” says Penny Kaleta, national sales and partnerships director at ACM.

“We loved spending the day outside with our colleagues and competitors for such a good cause and winning the trophy just topped what was already a great day. We’ll be back next year to defend out trophy!”

The competition was played in mixed teams of four over 18 holes as an Ambrose game – a casual form of team golf. ACM won with a score of 52.75, followed closely by GumGum with a score of 54.375. The Nine team was awarded the ‘fairest team’ prize and a special ‘best dressed’ prize went to Astus.

“As media folk, we are in the fortunate position where we have the opportunity to give back to the community,” says Kristian Waller, NSW agency sales director at oOh! Media, which also sponsored the tournament.

“Naturally we saw being involved in the first ever UnLtd Open as an ‘unmissable’ opportunity for us to do just that –  and have some fun doing it! It was a fantastic day out on the greens with our peers and competitors while raising funds for the important work that UnLtd does. We cannot wait to be involved next year!”
