Following a global recall of vehicles, Toyota will temporarily cease production in Britain, France and two US plants.

The production halt is expected to last 12 days and is related to a decline in sales stemming from a faulty accelerator issue.

The brand is the world’s largest car-maker and could be facing multi-billion dollar lawsuits from US customers.
