Volkswagen is at it again, with its Start-Stop Technology used previously for switching automobile engines off when a car comes to a stop or red light, being moved to a Chrome plugin that pauses a video when you look away from the screen.

With the app using your computer’s camera and some facial recognition technology to achieve the feat, the concept runs reasonably smoothly but is reported to require exaggerated movement, like moving your eyes and head completely away from the screen.
