Canva announces partnership with Mardis Gras and WorldPride

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is an iconic Australian event. Hundreds of thousands from all over the world come to join in the celebrations, celebrating Australia’s LGBTQIA+ community. 

To join in the party, Australian tech company Canva has signed a three year partnership with the world-famous parade. With diversity and inclusion becoming ingrained within businesses ethos these days, Canva has aligned itself as a supportive and diverse company.

And, what a perfect pairing for the Mardi Gras to have. The design platform has already started to wrap trams and create billboards using its own software. This year’s Mardi Gras theme is “United We Shine”, which signifies banding together and shining brighter.

As part of the partnership, Canva has created a suite of pride-themed templates from t-shirts to totes, templates and even Zoom backgrounds.

Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival will run from 18 February – 6 March.
