The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) has today appointed Julie Flynn as interim CEO. The AANA is a not-for-profit industry association that appoints and advances advertising. Former CEO John Broome elected not to renew his contract after four years with the industry body. Julie Flynn has a strong background in the media and advertising landscape, as well as within industry bodies. She previously was the CEO of FreeTV Australian and Freeview Australia. Flynn will act as the CEO while the AANA commences an extensive search for a permanent CEO.


JobAdder, a global recruitment software solution, has today announced it’s bolstered its team to 167 in total, with 85 percent growth since September 2020. This includes the appointment of Michael Savanis as CRO and Taz Bareham as CMO.


Data, insights and consulting company Kantar appointed Irene Joshy to lead their creative domain and partner with clients to optimise advertising in Australia.


Ogilvy Australia
has today announced the appointment of Mark Albert as chief data and analytics officer. Albert will bring his practical experience across data-driven marketing, CRM and loyalty programs to the business.


Following a period of expansion, Sandpiper Communications has appointed Philip Channon as its global CFO.

welcomes Tom Selby to the newly created creative director role as the agency continues to expand its creative capabilities. 


Purpose-driven integrated communications agency Think HQ has announced the
appointment of Professor Shane Hearn to the agency leadership team and the newly created role of head of First Nations engagement and communication. A respected and proud Noongar man, Professor Hearn will provide insight into First Nations audiences and connect them to the agency’s work to ensure experiences are centred and the Indigenous audience is included in campaigns.


GroupM Australia
has named Deepak Tahiliani head of digital investment.  He will drive strategic partnerships and deliver value for GroupM clients through innovative and effective approaches to media, as part GroupM’s responsible investment framework.
