Myspace appoints new marketing manager

Myspace has announced the appointment of a new online marketing manager. Emily Butler will spearhead local audience growth and online marketing strategy for the new Myspace. Butler’s appointment follows the global relaunch of Myspace as a social entertainment destination. The redesigned Myspace launched in Australia last week.
Butler will manage and execute online marketing campaigns, SEO and SEM initiatives, CRM strategy and marketing for Myspace social media communities.

With ten years’ experience in online consumer marketing and traditional media, Butler most recently worked at Sony Music Australia as Online Marketing Manager where she was responsible for online marketing for artists across the international, Australian and commercial music rosters. Butler has overseen online marketing strategy and promotional activity for over ten number-one releases including Kings of Leon, Susan Boyle, P!nk, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.
