The ‘Officegram’: Tribal DDB houses website entirely on Instagram

Tribal DDB Israel has taken the ‘look how clever we are, we’ve created a minimalist website for free’ approach by creating an ‘Officegram’ – a website of its services and experience completely housed on Instagram.
Visitors to the profile, which had 725 followers at time of publishing, will need to search through the content using hashtags – #tdilcontact for contact information, #tdilclients for their client list, #tdilwork for their show reel and #tdilpeople for their staff.
The account is filled with images of employees, their work and images that show creative hipsters doing what they do best – foosball, taking selfies, snacking in the conference room, dressing up all kooky, and looking pensive in washed out sepia tones. There’s even the requisite shot of a cute kitten sitting up at the table – just like a real person!
The agency boasts that the stunt has received plenty of attention. They claim to have received over 67,000 hits from Google searches in an 18 day period, media coverage from global business sites including Bloomberg and the Wall Street Joournal and hundreds of tweets from around the world.
Other agencies or creative brands have used Tumblr to create simple websites for free, but Tribal is believed to be the first to use Instagram for this purpose. Is it a good approach in general? Is it well executed in this case? We welcome your thoughts.
