Jaguar takes branded content to the next level


Luxury automaker Jaguar has created a short film created by ad agency The Brooklyn Brothers in conjunction with Ridley Scott’s production company.

The 13-minute film, directed by Adam Smith, is based around a delivery man trying to deliver a new Jaguar to a drug lord in the Chilean desert. Things soon go awry, however, when the drug lord’s girlfriend attempts to escape her gun wielding partner by jumping into the new Jag.

The entire film features an all out car chase complete with gunshots, donkeys and even a  children’s Chilean marching band. The Jaguar however still manages to feature in almost every shot.

The film features some pretty big Hollywood names, with Homeland‘s Damian Lewis playing the delivery man and Shannyn Sossamon playing the female lead. Spanish actor, Jordi Molla plays the Chilean gangster.

The production values of the film are, for lack of a better word, epic, but with the featured Jaguar costing US $92,000 the quality of the film certainly fits in with the brand and its audience.
