Here comes the fried – KFC offers six Aussie couples the chance to fry the knot

The chicken shop is offering six KFC-themed wedding packages to Australian competition winners – including a KFC food truck, photo booth and celebrant to celebrate the big day.
Twelve KFC super-fans (six couples) will soon be able to say their vows with the faint scent of fried chicken on their breath, in front of a Kentucky-certified celebrant.
The fast food restaurant took to the latest issues of Vogue and Harper’s BAZAAR to announce a competition in which Australian couples could write in to win a KFC-themed wedding.
The winning package will include a KFC food truck, KFC photo booth, KFC celebrant (whatever that means), custom KFC buckets and musical entertainment.
To win the wedding, couples will need to lodge an application form telling KFC in 200 words or less why they’d deserve the oily affair.
“KFC is all about living your best life and we were flattered that so many of our fans are showing that Aussie larrikin spirit by asking us to be a part of their big day,” says managing director at KFC Australia, Nikki Lawson.
“Over the years we’ve seen some amazing Facebook comments and have heard of some incredible proposals from fans taking place in our restaurants in Australia and around the world. Seeing these we thought bucket, let’s create a KFC Wedding service!
“We think it’s important that this isn’t just a one-off affair and that as many of our fans have the chance to get a KFC Wedding – so we’re making this available for eight months as a genuine service for anyone living in Australia.”
There are only six weddings available as part of the competition, and the KFC wedding calendar opens as soon as October 2019, running through to May 2020.
So you can have KFC cater or theme your wedding now. I like KFC but I actually have standards. It’s a wedding, not your best friend’s 15th Birthday Party
